10 Frenship National History Day Teams Head to State Contest

National History Day is a project-based learning opportunity for seventh-grade advanced academics students. The competition challenges middle school students to develop skills in communication, research, critical thinking, and team building. This year’s National History Day theme was “A Turning Point in History”.

Frenship took 42 seventh graders from all four middle schools to compete at the National History Day Regional competition at the Texas Tech Cultural Center last weekend. Frenship will be advancing 10 teams made up of students from each middle school at the State Contest.

The State Competition will be in Austin, TX on April 20, 2024.

Malli Travis, Frenship Social Studies Coordinator is proud of the student's hard work and critical thinking skills during the regional contest.

“This group of students and their teachers have worked extremely hard, and these are some of the strongest projects we have advanced in quite some time,” said Travis. “They truly embodied “Seek Perfection…Capture Excellence!”
