This month's Mental Health Minute focuses on the theme of connection. As part of the Frenship ISD Strategic Plan Initiative, the Mental Health Minute seeks to promote awareness of mental health and wellness across the district.
Frenship High School senior and trombone player Lula Biondi has been selected for the national S.E. Shires Rising Artist Program, becoming the only high school student in the nation chosen for the honor. Through this two-year program, Biondi will have opportunities to learn from world-renowned brass musicians, receive mentorship, and continue pursuing her goal of performing in a major symphony orchestra.
Frenship ISD will be represented on the national stage this week as students and educators from both Frenship High School and Memorial High School receive some of the highest honors awarded by the National FFA Organization during the National FFA Convention in Indianapolis, Indiana.

FRENSHIP ISD ADOPTED A TAX RATE THAT WILL RAISE MORE TAXES FOR MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS THAN LAST YEARS TAX RATE.
THE TAX RATE WILL EFFECTIVELY BE RAISED BY 1.626% PERCENT AND WILL RAISE TAXES FOR MAINTENANCE AND OPERATION ON A $100,000 HOME BY APPROXIMATELY $18.50.
