Alcove Trails Middle School

Frenship ISD Welcomes Alcove Trails Middle School Assistant Principals

After many months of anticipation, the doors to Alcove Trails open this month to welcome numerous Tigers from across the area. Frenship ISD welcomes two new faces to the Alcove Trails team. Keri Moseley and Josh Wheeler will serve as the new assistant principals under principal, Rebecca Whipkey.

Moseley joins Alcove trails with 20 years in education, 16 of those spent in the Houston, Amarillo, and Lubbock areas. Moseley most recently served as an instructional coach for three years with Frenship ISD. Moseley is most excited to meet her new Alcove Trails family and kick off the upcoming school year.

“I am ecstatic to continue in Frenship at Alcove Trails Middle School. I am most excited to continue traditions set in Frenship, create new traditions, and build relationships at Alcove Trails,” said Moseley.

Wheeler joins Frenship ISD with 15 years in education after spending the last decade at Lubbock Christian University in the School of Education. Wheeler specifically worked in helping prepare future educators for the classroom. When Wheeler felt a call to jump back into public education, it was no question that Frenship ISD was where he wanted to serve.

“When I felt the call to get back into public education, I jumped at the chance to work in a fantastic district and with an awesome leader like Mrs. Whipkey. I've worked with her numerous times over the years, and she's a phenomenal educator who always puts students and their learning and growth first,” said Wheeler.

Both Moseley and Wheeler feel honored to play a role in helping open Frenship's newest middle school.

“By opening a new school, we are the first piece of the school’s history. As a campus, we have the great opportunity to pave the way for the academic success of future students,” said Moseley. “It is an honor to be a part of this, and I appreciate the district trusting me to help lead.”

“It's such an exciting adventure to open a new campus! You get the opportunity to work together as a team to build a shared vision and to see that vision become reality,” said Wheeler. “The camaraderie that is built is amazing, and I count myself blessed to be a part of this awesome team of educators. I can't wait to see the amazing things that happen this year at ‘The Cove’!”

Frenship ISD is thrilled to have both Keri Moseley and Josh Wheeler on the Alcove Trails administration team.
